Lighthouse Launches New Managed Review Practice

May 23, 2023

Lighthouse, a leader in technology-enabled eDiscovery and information governance services, announced today the launch of a new unified, technology-driven managed review practice for both corporate and law firm partners. With this new offering, Lighthouse now has the widest range of review options in the industry.

Clients have trusted Lighthouse to minimize cost and risks across the eDiscovery data lifecycle for nearly three decades. But the eDiscovery landscape is constantly evolving. Guided by the same principles that drive its eDiscovery data management business—reducing risk, achieving higher quality, and delivering more impactful ROI and better outcomes—the company designed Lighthouse Managed Review from the ground up to optimize document review time and budgets by smartly and selectively introducing the right analytics, AI, and automation to enhance and expedite document review workflows.

Lighthouse Managed Review offers a better alternative for matters of all sizes, customized to project requirements and goals. By integrating the innovative Lighthouse tech-forward approach with core principles of traditional document review, clients can expect results and cost avoidance opportunities which far exceed traditional TAR methodologies.

To lead the new managed review practice, the company has hired well-known industry leader Mary Newman, formerly of Deloitte, as Executive Director. Mary has over 20 years of eDiscovery experience with a deep focus on innovation in document review. In her role, Mary works with clients to provide cost containment opportunities, finding the optimal blend of analytics, AI, automation, and human linear review to better serve unique client needs.

“I’m thrilled to have joined Lighthouse. The forward-thinking mindset lives in every component of the organization, with a unified goal of providing something better to our clients. I am incredibly excited to be a part of something truly differentiated in the document review space. By combining more strategic approaches and agile review workflows with modern AI we can substantially drive down review costs from multiple angles all while providing defensibility in the process,” said Newman. “As the landscape has evolved, Lighthouse has always evolved with it. I’m looking forward to continued positive feedback from our clients.”

Added Lon Troyer, Vice President of Review & Advanced Analytics at Lighthouse, “Attracting an innovative and trusted leader like Mary Newman to Lighthouse was a huge vote of confidence in our early thinking, and she’s been instrumental in designing a modern review program that allows us to meet the wide range of needs that our clients have. She has been at the forefront of developing review management and programs that rise to the challenge of ever-growing document volumes and ever-shrinking timelines through the adoption of technology.”
