Lighthouse Hires Eric Emans as Chief Financial Officer

Company continues to expand executive team with the addition of a seasoned technology leader focused on capital allocation and complex business transactions.
SEATTLE, Wash. (July 9, 2020) Lighthouse, a leader in technology-enabled eDiscovery, compliance and information governance services, today announced that Eric Emans has been hired as the new Chief Financial Officer. David Binder previously held a dual role as the Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer, but as the business continues to expand, will now focus exclusively on the COO role. Emans brings more than 20 years of experience with a multitude of technology-enabled business models as well as a proven track record of operating rapidly growing and scaled public and private companies to his role at Lighthouse. As Chief Financial Officer, Emans will work to balance long-term strategic objectives, day-to-day operations and complex transactions as Lighthouse continues to expand current product and service offerings and new lines of business.

Prior to this new role, Emans was the Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer at A Place for Mom, a mission-driven company providing the largest assisted living referral service in the U.S. Prior to that, Emans held a number of finance and accounting leadership roles at Blucora, Inc. (NASDAQ: BCOR, formerly Infospace, Inc.) culminating with the Chief Financial Officer role from 2011 to 2017. Emans started his career with Deloitte and Touche as an auditor and Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
Emans holds a B.A. in Business Administration from the University of Washington in addition to a B.A. Sociology from Western Washington University. He serves on the Board of Directors as a member of the Endowment Committee and Chair of the Investment Committee at Village Theater in Issaquah, Wash.
