Lighthouse, a leader in technology-enabled eDiscovery, compliance, and information governance services, announced today the promotion of Suzanne "Sue" Snyder to Chief People Officer. In her elevated role, Snyder will oversee the company's global human resources operations and will work to perpetuate the company's culture as Lighthouse continues to expand its global footprint and build its roster of nearly 1,000 employees. With her promotion, she will now report directly to Chief Executive Officer, Ron Markezich

“Lighthouse is a technology company, but people are at the heart of everything we do,” said Snyder. “I’m excited to become the CPO which is an incredibly important role as HR sits at the intersection of the people who build the technology, the people who collaborate with clients to design and iterate it, and those who help clients effectively use it.”

“With AI commanding so much attention in the legal space, it is easy for companies to become distracted from the importance of their people,” said Markezich.  ”I’m excited for Sue to become the CPO as she understands that the true value of AI is not the ways it can displace humans, but the ways it benefits the people doing legal work.”

Snyder joined Lighthouse in November 2022 as Senior Director People & Culture as a strategic and transformative human resource leader with demonstrated success creating and developing strong human resource competencies in multiple global sites. The depth of her 25 years of experience spans multiple industries (manufacturing, PE, etc.) and companies such as Protective Industrial Products, Tempur Sealy International, and Time Warner Cable designing, implementing, managing, and administering HR solutions, in addition to working tirelessly to enrich company culture.

She holds a master’s degree in labor policy studies from SUNY Empire State College, where she cultivated a passion for creating workplace environments that thrive on open communication, transparency, constructive feedback, and career development opportunities. Outside of work, Sue actively participates in several charitable organizations and served for more than 10 years on the Executive Board of Directors for the Alzheimer’s Association of Northeastern New York.
