Coronavirus Preparedness At Lighthouse

John Bair

Senior Consultant

John is an experienced senior consultant on the Digital Forensics team, specializing in advanced mobile forensics such as thermal and non-thermal chip removal, Joint Test Action Group (JTAG), In-System-Programming (ISP), and severely damaged devices.

Prior to joining Lighthouse in 2018, John’s professional experience has included:

  • Nearly thirty combined years of commissioned law enforcement service, with the last twelve devoted to digital forensic recovery.
  • He also created a digital forensics program at the University of Washington (Tacoma), where he currently lectures part-time.
  • In addition, John has authored one book, and co-authored another related to mobile forensics.

When he is not working on various client matters at Lighthouse, John enjoys skiing, fishing, and especially karaoke (yes, he is aware of the face you are making when you read that!). John has two adult children, one teenager, and a beautiful granddaughter. He also has a black twelve-year-old pug named Dexter that naps beside him while he remotely works.

Qualifications:

  • BS in Cybersecurity with an emphasis on Cybercrime Fraud Investigation Specialization (in progress) – Institution
